[Well, Jake is currently on the road to Viridian City Violet City. He's currently resting somewhere off the road, and he looks a mite hassled.]
I've got two questions I'd like to pose at the moment. My first question is how do you feed a possessed candle when the Pokedex says that it feeds off of the life force of humans and Pokemon? Really, I'm all for survival and taking good care of your Pokemon and all that, but I'm not about to kill myself for it.
My sec--YEOWCH!
[That's about when he flails a little, sighs in exasperation, and holds up his hand. Dangling from it is a Totodile, who looks quite content to be chomping down on Jake's hand.]
How in frig's flipping sake do you get Totodiles to not bite you every time they leave the Pokeball?!
[He should've gone for the cat. But no, he wanted the cool blue alligator baby.]

I let Chandel here feed off of wild pokemon. Or well...more like snack really. I watch her very carefully to make sure she doesn't actually completely drain anything or anybody. It helps though that ghosts don't seem to need to eat as often as other pokemon. At least mine don't. But yeah, always better to go for multiple food sources for ghosts. You'll find that most of them don't really eat "normal" food. As for the Totodile...
[Sigh.]
I would tell you if I knew, but I don't. My Umbreon likes to bite and I still haven't really gotten him to stop doing it completely.
video;
How often would you feed a Litwick?
[Jake will share this sigh.]
Wonderful. I hope this isn't a trait that carries over into whatever it evolves into.
[With his luck so far? It probably will. Have fun having a Croconaw/Feraligatr chomping on you, Jake.]

[[She digs out a few examples from her bag, holding them up to the camera.]]
If you can discern which berry your toothy friend dislikes, you could purchase a spray bottle in the next town, make a sort of liquidy mash by crushing the berries and adding water to the mixture, and spray your hands with the mixture. Every time he bites, he'll get a lovely mouthful of that, which he will of course hate. That should quickly wane his biting habits.
At least to you in any case.
[[Pokemother of the year at your service.]]

No, I didn't realize you could gather berries. What sorts are there? I could at least start picking some up on my way to Violet.

[She'd tell him to punch it, but she already told someone to punch a giant spider, so she can't be giving two people the same advice for clearly different problems.]
I don't know, its hide looks too tough for any tickling to take effect.
[Still, you never learn without trying! So, Jake tries tickling her belly. Surprisingly, it's very effective and he grins at Mabel.]
Well, that's one way to get her to let go! Thanks, Mabel!

[He's not a fan of, say, people hunting animals, but animals hunting other animals? That's all fair game. Survival of the fittest and all that.]
As for the Totodile, it does not respect your STRONGNESS. You must prove yourself as its superior. ...Or it merely enjoys being insufferable. It appears to be a common trait among seadwellers.
[Yeah, Jake's no stranger to that rule...stupid jungle island trying to kill him.]
I think it might be the latter. According to the Pokedex, Totodiles just love to bite things for some reason, and apparently they're very playful.
Maybe you should just give the Totodile a reward every time it doesn't bite you. Or get it a chew toy...
But I really don't know anything about possessed candles.... [they sound scary tbh]
That's alright. If I can solve at least one of my problems, I'd be pretty happy!

[Misaki's face dropped to a frown when the word "totodile" was mentioned.]
You got a Totodile too? I don't know how to help there. Mine likes to gnaw on everything, especially my pair of heels. He hasn't bit me yet but he takes part in mischievous pranks with Kizu, those brats.
I always thought if you knew how to train a dog to not bite you, it might be the same thing though.
I've never had a pet before, so I'm afraid this is a very new experience for me. And I feel that a dog may be different from a baby alligator.

Maybe you could try punishing it when it bites and... reward it when it doesn't?
[video] Do you mind a little fourth walling? He won't say anything, but he'd probably have a moment.

Maybe you should just wear a giant mitt on your hand all the time.

It's certainly cold enough for that, I think.
