[Well, Jake is currently on the road to Viridian City Violet City. He's currently resting somewhere off the road, and he looks a mite hassled.]

I've got two questions I'd like to pose at the moment. My first question is how do you feed a possessed candle when the Pokedex says that it feeds off of the life force of humans and Pokemon? Really, I'm all for survival and taking good care of your Pokemon and all that, but I'm not about to kill myself for it.

My sec--YEOWCH!

[That's about when he flails a little, sighs in exasperation, and holds up his hand. Dangling from it is a Totodile, who looks quite content to be chomping down on Jake's hand.]

How in frig's flipping sake do you get Totodiles to not bite you every time they leave the Pokeball?!

[He should've gone for the cat. But no, he wanted the cool blue alligator baby.]

Perhaps you should get a grass or electric type pokémon to keep it in check. May I request for your location? I might be able to point you to the closest place where you can easily obtain a pokémon like that.

[ She nods. ]

That is correct. You either pass out are usually brought back to a local pokémon center, or, you carry a laundry list of grave injuries but you never kick over. You're able to heal from them too, over time.

Ah. I suppose you could threaten it with a light electric shock. It's unlikely to follow up with biting if it knows that will be on the end of a super effective attack. As for your choice in grass types, there are two on your route now. [ She looks through a journal titled, "The Joys of Pokémon" but, the writing and photos are entirely handwritten. ] There's Cherubi, which is a bit hard to find, and then there's Hoppip, which can be found during the daytime. They're both pink. [ She feels the need to inform them about color. ]

It's entirely odd but it's how the world works. This world is unlike anything I've ever experienced. [ Except she's immortal, oops. ]

Maybe you should reduce the status to a reward? If he performs exceptionally well or holds off on consuming your foot for a little while?

[ She nods. ] I have its evolution, Jumpluff, if you wish to see it.

And yes, it is. A little while ago, there was a massive sickness that broke out and caused people to develop dog-like features with fangs and blue colored lips and the like. [ ...Yep. She remains entirely casual while discussing this. It doesn't really phase her anymore. ]

Ah, my apologies. I would have thought if she bit your hand you'd just shake her off. [ ...Why did she assume the foot is any different? Ah, no matter. ]

All right. Here she is. Go! Anika! [ The Jumpluff just floats in mid air. She doesn't seem too aware of her surroundings. She happily chirps before twirling herself in a circle.

Lust turns the feed back on herself. She's unaware that, in the background, Jumpluff idly twirls while a Sneasel appears. He tries to bat her down, but she somehow alludes his grasp no matter how large his attempts get. He keeps waiting for her land too, but every attack he makes she's blown to another part oy the room. ]

Correct. It was an actual disease here, except no full transformations were recorded. Instead, it subsided for a bit. Some of it went away quickly, within a day, others had the strain and the sickness for months.
