I'll Keep the Area Clear

[Jake looks a little sheepish as he holds up his brand new Fog Badge, while Roxy the Delcatty purrs and winds around his legs all content-like.]

Well, that didn't go too terribly. It was looking pretty gosh darn grim when Tate, my Gallade, proved to still have a weakness against ghost-types in the final stretch, but he came through admirably!

[The Delcatty gives him an indignant meow.]

Haha, and Roxy finished off the Misdreavous beautifully!

[And then he sighs.]

I think I'm putting off that battle against Whitney for as long as I can. For...a laundry list of reasons.

[Well, Jake is currently on the road to Viridian City Violet City. He's currently resting somewhere off the road, and he looks a mite hassled.]

I've got two questions I'd like to pose at the moment. My first question is how do you feed a possessed candle when the Pokedex says that it feeds off of the life force of humans and Pokemon? Really, I'm all for survival and taking good care of your Pokemon and all that, but I'm not about to kill myself for it.

[That's about when he flails a little, sighs in exasperation, and holds up his hand. Dangling from it is a Totodile, who looks quite content to be chomping down on Jake's hand.]

How in frig's flipping sake do you get Totodiles to not bite you every time they leave the Pokeball?!
