[Jake looks a little sheepish as he holds up his brand new Fog Badge, while Roxy the Delcatty purrs and winds around his legs all content-like.]

Well, that didn't go too terribly. It was looking pretty gosh darn grim when Tate, my Gallade, proved to still have a weakness against ghost-types in the final stretch, but he came through admirably!

[The Delcatty gives him an indignant meow.]

Haha, and Roxy finished off the Misdreavous beautifully!

[And then he sighs.]

I think I'm putting off that battle against Whitney for as long as I can. For...a laundry list of reasons.

You have seven to go, after all, right?

Kanto has been nice, and the towns are a lot closer together than Johto's. We've been in Cerulean city for the better part of a month, but it's really a pretty place! The leader uses water types too, so it's nice that Eridan has someone to talk with about the passion for that particular type.

Six, now! I'm definitely not being linear with these first four gyms, though.

No one said you had to be linear hehe! Just don't forget one and wind up across the region before figuring out you need to go back to square one to get the last you missed.

I'm pretty certain it is, though he's getting antsy to go back on the road; getting all the badges is his main goal, and I understand that.. but the weather is just so cold lately! It's nicer to sit by a nice warm fire and relax and train up to prepare, you know?

it has Slowpoke everywhere, for some reason.

but this town is famous for it's bug type Gym leader
and I haven't seen a bug since I left the forest.

Yes, the slowpoke well.
I never see any crawling out of it though.
It wouldn't be difficult to see them coming and going,
what with slowpoke being..

I'm hoping Comet will be ready,
otherwise I may have to work with a few of the others.
Jenny could always be an interesting option,
if only to see what moves his Pokemon may know!
Since she copies a few moves when she transforms.

Its like the ninja otter thing is a total fraud.

Well if comet has any fire moves at this point then id say hell be perfectly fine!

The Pokemon are much stronger than they appear
but I think that is definitely a good point

Ok well it looks like altaria get big enough for maybe one or two people to safely ride it.
One person surely but im not sure about two.

I totally did! It just sort of. Slipped my mind that fighting-types were neutral to ghost-types whereas it was super effective against psychics, so the neutrality got overridden or some such. At least Tate survived long enough to finish Gengar off?

Im not very good at handling people who cry.
Im really awful at it!
And she likes to use attract which is bad since the pokemon that are strong against her type wise are male.
At least most of them are.
One of them might be ok but i dont think she could handle miltank very well.

If she does this every time someone defeats her

I don't really know what kind of pokemon you have
so I don't know what to say
What level range are your pokemon?
I'm planning on going up against her after I get back from the forest

I think youre right about not confronting her after.
But if she withholds the badge because of it then i dont really know what id do.

Um a few of them are in the 50 level range but most of my pokemon are at their highest level 35.
I think my lucario is at level 25.
And thats the other reason im waiting.

basically fight starts with girafarig which sounds like a sneeze i mean come on
hrk girafarig as someone reaches for the tissues because holy shit felt like their head came off
anyway
normal psychic which slim shady ate for breakfast has a lot of psychic and normal moves with one ghost and a couple dark
be careful of agility
and any status effects that go on
clefable is ok at its level nothing too bad if you dont put anything weak against psychics out
miltank
do not let it roll out
repeat do not
let it roll out

Sounds like a job for my absol against the giraffe.
And i suppose tate would be more than enough for her clefable.
Hm.
Well maybe noah can tank it. I dont think rock moves do much damage against steel types.

Ok well morty.
He starts off with haunter so its weak against psychic and dark types.
Careful if you do send out a psychic type though! His pokemon know some pretty hardcore ghost type moves.
After haunter hell send out misdreavous a pure ghost type.
Gengar is his final pokemon and might be the one that gives you the most trouble.
Id suggest that if you have any normal types that know dark psychic and or ghost moves then use them since ghosts dont affect normal types!
Not sure how that works but whatever.
Oh and he likes using the mean look and curse combo so beware of that!

oh he can curse but thats the fun thing about dark types
i can lock him out of that move after he does it
sounds like another faceroll fight for my team
rock is weak to steel so yeah probably can tank that

Morty might pull some unexpected stuff on you that he didnt pull on me.
But phew then hell probably be alright against miltank as long as i keep up the healing items on him.
