Well, I just got my first badge in Johto!

Though, I don't think Gym Leader Falkner really appreciated how it all went. Eheh....

[Stripes snorts and looks like he could take on anybody. Someone got an ego boost after a successful gym battle.]

What's the second gym like, now that I'm thinking of it? I've only heard that the Goldenrod City gym has...some issues.

Well, apparently Shock Wave never misses, so when I started using that after he used accuracy-reducing moves...well. He looked a little miffed.

Your latest post mentioned issues about Goldenrod, though. Did something happen there?

Oh, yes. Erm, I spoke to Twilight Sparkle, who had beaten the Gym Leader in Goldenrod, and apparently the woman is a bit of a...sore loser, to put it gently. She basically threw a temper tantrum and started crying after she lost. It was really rather awkward for the audience and for poor Twilight.

Do you think that's going to be a trend? Although at least Faulkner just looked miffed, I suppose?

[ How did these people get gyms of their own to run. ] Well, regardless, I think you did well! And your pokemon, too. We should do something special for dinner for them and you. Maybe Jane knows something we could make?

Oof, I really hope it's not a trend these people follow. I can deal with being the object of annoyance far better than having someone crying.

[He doesn't even know. Perking up at that special dinner idea.] A spectacular idea! I know for certain my Pokemon would love something special for the occasion!

[Stripes snorts and bobs his head. Awww yeaaah, food is totally the best reward after beating the gym leader's Pokemon.]

If their entire job involves being beaten by travelling trainers for their badges, one would think they'd be better equipped to deal with that loss! [ Seriously, is it news to them when they lose? Half the people she's talked to have badges. There come a point when you just deal with your inability to beat people up.

I should hope so! At the very least, I'm pretty sure that gives you exclusive lick-the-bowl rights.

Are you speaking from experience? [ Actually this talk of cake reminds her. ] When is Jane's wriggling day supposed to be?

No, Jane has more experience with that because of her dad. Hers is the 13th of April, just like John's.

I'm still not quite certain when mine would fall. I did talk about horoscopes with one of my coworkers, though! They're all pokemon? The Whimsicott reminds me of my lusus a bit - or at least it has my horns and hers.

Eridan thought the same thing. He's picking a day the Aquarius sign falls under. You see, there are different day ranges that these signs appear. The date you're born on is in one of those ranges, and that will determine what sign you are. For example, December 1st is within the range for Sagittarius.

Oh! What are the Aries ranges?

March 21st to April 19th. [He grins.] So, that makes John and Jane Aries kids, too!

Oh, really? I've never really met anyone who shared the sign of my ancestor.

[ Hmmm. ] Well, I'll pick a day between those days, then!
