[Guess who has Pokemon-related questions. Go on, guess. Yes, it's Jake English.

He's accompanied by a Ralts and a Kirlia this time, though. He's had them for a little while, but the expression on his face is more thoughtful than...well, pained.]

To those chaps raising psychic-type Pokemon, I have a bit of a question for you. Is it possible to teach them how to play things like chess or cards?

[Although, now he looks like he'd rather take something back.]

Actually, you know what? Never mind the cards. I'd really not have to deal with them having a gambling addiction or accusing the other of cheating via telepathy or whatever.

[Gambling Anonymous for Pokemon...yeah, no, that doesn't need to happen.]

I'm also curious to know something. What's the significance of being 16? I've heard that it's something of a special occasion by a friend, but I can't say I follow the reasoning behind a "sweet sixteen."

Yep! Now that I think of it, Dirk and Roxy's would be soon, too. 3rd and 4th, respectively.

Because your birthday is the same as Jade's, Roxy's is the same as Rose's, and Dirk's is the same as Dave's. So it would stand to reason that Jane's is the same as mine.

[Pause, and then he chuckles.]

Oh, dear, looks like I've added to the list of December birthdays for you! Really, though, I don't mind if you skip out on mine if it's too much for you.

Pshh, don't worry about it. At least I won't have any trouble remembering everyone's birthdays. [So many presents though... So. many.] And you're sort of family so skipping isn't really an option here.

[Though he's probably going to have to ask Jade for present ideas...]

Oh, indubitably. [lul sucks to be John] Aw shucks, I appreciate it! Try not to stress too much about it.

[It's strange suddenly having family again dang.]

Don't worry, I won't. Oh! There's something I have been meaning to ask you though. It just keeps slipping my mind every time we talk. Am I misremembering or did you say you like movies? In your letter, I mean.

My good man, I love movies! I've yet to find one I didn't like.

Not a single one, huh? [He chuckles.] So what's your favorite then?

Ahah, that's a tough question. [Give him some time to think about it.]

I think...damn, there really are too many I like. If I had to go with one, I'd have to say that Die Hard would be my absolute favorite in terms of humor and action/adventure. On the other hand, if I had to go with a movie that I think hits close to home, I would have to go with a tie between two movies. Disney's Hercules and Disney's Treasure Planet.

[John will just wait patiently for his answer. He knows this feel, man. He knows this feel. Narrowing it down to just one is so hard.]

Man, I haven't seen Die Hard in a while. But I agree, it is pretty good. You have fine taste in movies, my good sir. So is action/adventure your favorite genre then? Those are all pretty action-y, even two of them are animated.

Definitely, though I won't say no to any of the other genres out there. How about you, John?

Sci-fi. [Said without moment's hesitation.] Or did you mean favorite movie? Because in that case it's Ghostbusters 2 and Con Air.

I'd meant both. Sci-fi's a very interesting genre. It's pretty entertaining to watch movies like that with Roxy and or Dirk, if only for their commentary.

Ah, Ghostbusters 2 is great! Haven't seen it in a while, though, there were other movies to watch. Liked Con Air, too, but I've only seen it the one time.

Oh man, only once? But that's better than never seeing it, though I promise it is just as good the second, third, and fiftieth time around.

But uh...what makes Dirk and Roxy's commentaries so interesting?

I've watched a lot of movies only once. There was always more to get to!

Well, they're from four centuries into our future or somewhere thereabouts. So, it's entertaining to see them scoff at the movies that take place somewhere in the future or dealing with aliens from other galaxies.
