PERSONALITY Robin is basically the Pokemon version of Jake. She's very enthusiastic and loves making new friends. She also enjoys making nests out of Jake's friends' hair. The only exception would be Dirk because she's completely convinced that his spiky hair will cause harm. Robin is pretty hyperactive and restless, but she's completely devoted to Jake. She never goes too far from him if she can help it, but she's usually back pretty quickly. Robin is perhaps Jake's favorite, not only for her devotion and loyalty, but because she's the first Pokemon friend he's ever had and has been his constant companion since the start. Name inspired by Genie from Disney's Aladdin.

PERSONALITY Jerry is very much a prankster and adores causing mischief. He loves chasing Robin around, much to her dismay, and is generally the instigator of a lot of...shenanigans...concerning Jake's Pokemon. He does NOT mess with Keira or Susan, interestingly enough. Whether he fears them or respects them is a mystery none of them have been able to solve, though it's possible that Keira doesn't really care about it. Name inspired by Lumiere from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
Anika Rose

PERSONALITY Oh my God, Anika will never stop biting the hell out of her trainer. It's how she shows her affection to him! She's far more gentle about it than when she was a Totodile, but she'll still have no problem clinging to Jake's hand with her teeth instead of holding it like a normal Pokemon. Anika is one of Jake's more hard working Pokemon, but she enjoys having some fun every now and then. However, if she detects a threat to Jake, then Heaven help that poor soul. Name inspired by Tia from Disney's The Princess and the Frog.
Tate Donovan

PERSONALITY Tate, ironically enough, is Jake's laziest Pokemon ever. You'll usually see him chilling out near the wall, dozing while laying on his side and propping his head up against his hand. He's also Susan's number one rival, at least in his mind. Most of the rivalry is concentrated in chess, but he almost always loses against her. Jake knows when Tate's lost a game usually when there's a sudden explosion of chess pieces all over the floor as he ragequits the game, the sore loser. Luckily for everyone involved, no pieces are harmed in these matches.
Still, he's affectionate enough to his trainer and team. He'll fight with all his strength to defend Jake, no matter how powerful the enemy is. Jake usually keeps him and Susan out at the same time, and the two of them act as sort of a walkie-talkie duo. Name was inspired by Adult Hercules in Disney's Hercules.
Susan Egan

PERSONALITY Of all his Pokemon, Susan is the "mother" of them all. She makes sure everyone's taken care of, perhaps especially her trainer since he's always doing something he shouldn't. Susan dispenses advice whenever asked for it, and she's absolutely devoted to her trainer. She is the best chess player in his team, but she's a sore winner. Susan's very smug whenever she wins a match or makes Tate ragequit the game. Like Meg, she can be sassy, but for the most part she's pretty polite and somewhat modest about her skills. Just don't talk to her about chess.
She loves helping Jake out whenever she can. If he falls asleep in a place that isn't his bed and Susan's out of the ball, then she usually makes sure to tuck him into the nearest bed by using her psychic powers to lift him. She has the silliest trainer, really. Name inspired by Meg from Disney's Hercules.
Keira Knightley

PERSONALITY This one is probably the more distant and quiet of his Pokemon. Keira is a very prim and proper Absol, but she's usually off to the side, watching from the shadows. If there's any trouble, then she's sure to try and head it off before it gets worse. Keira has a tough time with her trainer, considering he's a walking disaster, and will give the equivalent of a facepalm whenever he does something stupid. She does this a lot, sadly. Name inspired by Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice, the 2005 film.
Roxy

PERSONALITY Roxy is the cutest cat EVER. She loves playing with Robin and Jane and basically any of Jake's Pokemon. If anyone ever needs a pick-me-up of cute, then this cat is so your 'mon, especially when she starts chasing her own tail. She has a tendency to steal socks, for some reason, and to cling to Jake's hands with all four of her paws. However, while she loves Jake, she equally loves Roxy Lalonde, and is perfectly willing to take orders from either of the two. Of course, Jake's orders will have more weight, but she'll still listen to his friend.
After evolving, she has stopped clinging to Jake's hand. Instead, she's practically glued to his leg.
Dirk

PERSONALITY Dirk is one of his more level-headed Pokemon. However, he's still a baby, so he gives lots of affection to Jake and loves playing around when he's not in battle. As he moves through his evolutionary chains, he'll get much more serious. For some odd reason, this little otter dislikes his namesake and might even be a tad jealous of him when he takes Jake's attention away. However, Dirk is a reliable member of the team, and fiercely loyal to his trainer. If anyone else tries to give him orders, then he'll most likely ignore them.
After evolving into Samurott and getting used to Dirk's ways, he has grown to respect his human counterpart as a warrior.
Jane

PERSONALITY Jane is one of Jake's more sweet-natured Pokemon. She's always caring for any of the injured/sick ones, and will be near any of the babies when they hatch to help Jake and Susan take care of them. She always gets embarrassed when she's praised, blushing and hiding her face and generally being adorable as all get out. She gets along very well with her namesake, and will take orders from Jane if need be. Jane and Jake are basically the only ones she'll listen to, but Jake more so because he's her trainer.

PERSONALITY Stripes is pretty much the most hyperactive of Jake's Pokemon, rivaling that of Robin Williams herself! He and Jake race a lot, though the latter will always lose. Still, it's good pace training for the both of them, and Stripes doesn't at all mind it when his trainer takes a ride on his back. He's very picky on who is allowed to ride on him, but it's a fairly safe assumption that any of Jake's travel companions will be able to ride him without a problem. Oh, and he also likes shooting lightning because it's pretty. He doesn't do this indoors because dang he doesn't like it when Jake scolds him. Name inspired by Stripes from Racing Stripes.
Halley

PERSONALITY Jake seems to have a knack for finding Pokemon that are fiercely loyal to him. Halley is about as loyal as a Gardevoir and Gallade combined. If anyone dares to approach his trainer while he's out, then they need to go through Halley's Inspection! If they don't get a sniff and an all clear, then prepare to get bit. Jake is literally the only person he listens to, effectively both watch dog and guard dog all in one. He's the one Jake will leave out at night when everyone's set up camp, since he'll warn them the moment he senses trouble. Surprisingly, the only people he actually likes are the Striders (all of them) and Jade.
After evolving, Halley has calmed down considerably. While still fiercely loyal and suspicious of others, he's much more quiet about it. He's content to only step in if Jake is unaware of the threat and doesn't bite people as often. Name inspired by the notable scientist and the comet named after him.

PERSONALITY Much like Keira, Noah is on the quiet side. Actually, he looks up to her, and can often be seen trying to imitate her ways. Jake's not really sure why this is, but he's not complaining as long as he's not taking any bad habits from Anika. Noah is very much a silent warrior and proud of his skills. He's showing an interest in chess, and is taking lessons from Susan when he's feeling bored. Name inspired by Flynn Carsen from The Librarian.
Kathleen Turner

PERSONALITY Kathleen is the cutest goddamn thing EVER. She's highly inquisitive, sweet-natured, and exceedingly playful. She also really likes Jake's glasses, for some reason, even though she has her OWN pair of glasses. Kathleen very much wants to help her trainer out in any way possible, going so far as to even "help" him cook in the kitchen. She's pretty much won the hearts of all of Jake's Pokemon, but they're very careful to not coddle and spoil her. She likes to mimic some of Jake's mannerisms in his interactions with his own friends. For example, Kathleen has no problems hugging all of her friends at random intervals or when she's grateful to them.
She also likes to follow Jane's Sebby around, for who knows why.
